Biography

Dr. Priya Padmanabhan is Professor of Urology and Director of the Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the OU William Beaumont School of Medicine. She was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Padmanabhan earned her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College and returned home to complete a Masters of Public Health at The University of Michigan. She completed her medical school and her urology residency at New York University Medical Center in New York, NY, followed by a Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University. 

Dr. Padmanabhan is active clinically and involved in multiple research trials, including her R01 grant on SNM and IC, and involvement with DoD grants on IC/ BPS and NIDDK P20 center grant for excellence in benign urology. She has published numerous peer reviewed articles and book chapters and given multiple presentations at both national and international meetings in the area of female voiding dysfunction and reconstruction. She is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA), International Continence Society (ICS) and Society of Urodynamics and Female Urology (SUFU) and fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Dr. Padmanabhan specializes in the treatment of complex incontinence, neuromodulation, prolapse and pelvic reconstruction.
